When I moved to North Carolina, one of the first things I had to get used to was an entirely new set of grocery stores! I was used to Safeway, Albertson's, and Save Mart. Here in Raleigh NC, I ran into new names like Harris Teeter, Food Lion, and Lowe's. They're all fairly similar, and I can shop interchangably. But one store I didn't discover until just recently was Trader Joe's. Yeah, I'd heard about it. The office got all excited when the news spread that Trader Joe's was coming to the Triangle. When shopping for a place to live, great schools are a bonus, running water and electricity is also important, but for some people few things are more important than the shopping in the neighborhood. So being the ever-vigilant neighbor, with nothing but all of your welfare in mind of course, I went shopping. Not just shopping, thrift store shopping.
