As a REALTOR, I can't tell you how important it is to have a team of Quality Business Partners.  Partners like Nick Zwiebel, Mortgage Loan Officer, with Tier One Bank in Papillion, NE.   I recently sent a buyer over to him and said, they couldn't get an approval at another mortgage lender, will you take a look at their file.  I felt like they should be able to qualify for a NIFA mortgage.  Plus, I said "I would like to close within two weeks".  Nick worked hard to make sure their file was complete and went through processing, underwriting and NIFA … (2 comments)

O.K. the news has been full of negative stories, "now is not a good time to buy a home, sub-prime mortgage crisis, etc".  Let's talk about the Omaha real estate market.  For one, I don't think it's fair to flat-out say, "now is not a good time to buy a home".  Every region of the country is different.  If it were the same, we could use sales of two stories homes in California to determine the value of homes in Nebraska.  If that was the case, my home would be worth triple what it's actually worth.
