The Oyster Shell Sculpture Competition will take place Saturday as part of the annual Bivalve Bash and Low Tide Mud Runat the Taylor Shellfish Farms, 2182 Chuckanut Dr.The 15 three-person teams will have from 9am-1pm to create works of art using only the shells of the bivalves to bring their visions to life-no mud, rocks, seaweed, wood, clams, mussels or crab shells can be used for embellishments. The 40,000 shells they'll have on hand are trucked in from a shucking house in Shelton, Wash., where the company also operates it's oyster farms.

Yes it's true the $8000 tax credit for first-time home buyers has gone away. But there is a little-known federal income tax credit for home buyers that can help you buy a home. Here’s the secret to credit bureaus don’t want you to know. In 1971 the U.S. Congress passed the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
