I have come to know that nothing is more true. My wife and I are involved with Real Estate. Is your real estate company brand important? Not according to NAR surveys of Homebuyers and Sellers. I interviewed with all the companies in my market. I chose the one I did based on one thing...I got to brand myself, not the company. People buy from you, not from some perceived value that your "company" offers. I have been having this very conversation with several agents that are at other companies, all concerned with the "companies" brand. Turns out, I am vindicated. Coming from another industry into Omaha Real Estate has given me an edge, in that I look at things through fresh eyes. This is a buyer's market right now. There are plenty of really pretty websites out there that I look at and say to myself..."So what"? Don't get me wrong...it's great that you have won all of these awards and that you have been doing this since the Dinosaurs roamed the earth. How does that apply to me? We want our folks to make the right choice when it comes to something as touchy as doing a short sale. Hiring the wrong person can be detrimental… So here is the million dollar question: How do I select the right team to successfully manage and negotiate my Short Sale?
