Weaker than expected economic data and tame inflation readings last week moved rate cut expectations up and increased the odds somewhat. Need to find data about specific cities or communities you may want to post to localism.
Check out city data's information website.  Some of the material is dated but there are alot of useful information facts and figures that can help if you are writing about the areas.  Of course if you are a Top Producer uses check out snapshot for updated data direct from your mls.
I am not sure if this is available in all areas, but do know you need top connector to use it and the cost is $79 per month.  Get details from Top Producer.com

Ever ask yourself what county is that in?  Rummage for the map or check onlilne?  Well here is a map I found online of all the counties in Florida.  Just for you save it to your my pictures folder or wherever that special place is for you so next time you wonder what county is that in you will have the map handy.
Also works when someone e-mails us and asks about property that is not in our area, helps with referral mapping and whatever else you my want or need it for.

Just read a blog by George Hanson about cash back and gifts.
At a recent course I attended every attorney licensed in Florida and one from Alabama in the room said they wouldn't do it because of the Rico law  ( I think it has to do with money laundering not sure) and the fact that the money rebated from the broker would be a 1099 issue too.
Yes I know people do this in Florida but how many are 1099 the amount to the buyer or seller?

Tiny Tiny Homes New York Times - 02/19/07 06:52 PM
Whether your customer wants hundreds of acres or a small lot here is a new twist on what is available for unique housing.  A fellow cyberstar Paul Lewis shared this site with us and the New York Times artical is worth taking a look at especially the video part which was very well presented.
I watched it twice as I didn't realize it until the end that at the bottom below the picture they were revealing where the homes were and the size.  The interior of one is exceptionally decorated.

Just once I would like to have a back up ready to go to closing when next I have to hear from a mortgage broker ...sorry we don't have the package ready yet...wOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO SAY SORRY YOUR BUYER HAS LOST THE HOUSE TO BUYER NUMBER 2 WHO HAD THINGS READY ON TIME.

Who do you use for Payroll? - 02/15/07 08:32 PM
Do you use payroll services?  If so who do you use and how have you liked them.
We have used ADP and for years no problems but this year we got a letter from the IRS.
I called ADP and they asked me to fax them the letter, which I did.  The IRS said I hadn't paid quarterly tax for a year and a half.  HELLO....where was the money going then.
Turns out when we structured a new LLC it came with a new tax id number which was filing the quarterlys for me and the old one was no longer used.

Have you done BPO's for relocation companies?  Today an e-mail came in for a BPO for Celebration.  I had never heard of this website or company and wonder if any of you have had dealings with them.
Their website is ASGBPO.com  doesn't matter where you live it appears anyone can sign up for this at their site.
Why they e-mailed me is a mystery since I hadn't signed up at their site.
They offered me $75 for a one page BPO.  Anyone done a bpo for them and been paid?

Heads up if you have any doubt of who you are doing business with before you sell to a stranger be sure to check out the SDN list when dealing with cross boarder transactions especially in-bound.
Since the Patriots Act due dilligence has become a must so not only do we need to know who is on the Do Not Call list be sure you are not working with someone on the SDN list.

Today I received my first issue of the Publicity Hound's Newsletter.  Articles featured included tips, tricks and tools for FREE PUBLICITY.  This issue was all inclusive writing book reviews, American Idol, a valentines quiz, research keywords, promote an automobile Association and help the hound.

Wndermere Florida named number 1 city for families by neighborhood scout is a much sought after community in southwest Orange County Florida.  A complete blog and links to all the information about this charming town set amidst the huge oaks and the Butler Chain of lakes can be found here.

It is important to remember to update your continuing ed hours in a timely mannor and note that per this notice from DBPR   If your renewal time is Sept. it is not too early to get started and find out what opportunities you have to keep current and in compliance.  Here is the latest notice about the change. 
Per section 455.2177, Florida Statutes, and as part of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation's efforts to increase Continuing/Post Education (CE/PE) compliance, the department will no longer issue a license renewal card to licensees who have not completed all continuing and post education … (2 comments)

My nephew just finished his stint at Disney University Program, and is now back finishing his college program studies.  He met alot of new people from around the world including a new girlfriend from Brazil.  Well what does this have to do with real estate?  The new connections in South America opened up an opportunity for advertising there with a local interpretor to be sure the ads are going in correctly.

Friday, February 2nd   The economy added 111,000 new jobs in January, less than an expected gain of 150,000. The softness was related to severe winter weather in some parts of the country. Weaker than expected job growth last month was offset by upward revisions in the prior two months which resulted in a net increase of 81,000 jobs. Additionally, benchmark revisions to the data series show average monthly payroll gains of 212k in 2005 and 187k in 2006 compared to 165k and 153k respectively.

After some terrible storms and loss of life it is just a reminder of how precious each day is and what we all have.  Many people north of Orlando in Deltona and Lady Lake lost everything, some are still without power and some paid an ultimate price.
  Once again some of the worst damage was done in Mobile home parks. 
We enjoy our sunshine and tax free state
