The Pemigewassett Chapter of Trout Unlimited (in New Hampshire) started the First Cast program with Boy Scoutmaster Paul Piscitelli and about eight boys from the Campton/Thornton, NH Boy Scout Troop #58, and Scoutmaster Mark Decoteau and five scouts from Waterville Valley’s Troop #56. TU members provided sponsorship and direct instructional support to the program. My co-worker, Kate Wheeler, stopped by our local Dunkin Donuts for a coffee to go. Check out the customers waiting in front of her in the drive-up lane...er, should I say, the ride-up lane?!

Small Town, Big Olympic Dreams! - 01/26/10 02:56 PM
Small Town, Big Olympic Dreams! The winter Olympics are right around the corner. A number of spots on the U.S. Ski Team will be filled by athletes with a Waterville Valley, NH connection! Considering how small our community is (less than 300 residents), and how small the state of New Hampshire is (1,315,809 people), that's something to crow about!Freestyle skiers Dylan Ferguson, of Amesbury, MA, and Ashley Caldwell, of Hamilton, VA, were just named to the US Ski Team's Olympics squad. Dylan is a Waterville Valley Academy alumni and member of the US Freestyle Team's aerial squad who started skiing at (2 comments)
New Price...New Construction - 01/14/10 10:06 AM
The price has been reduced on Waterville Valley Resort's ONLY new construction condominium - Moose Crossing #3 - NOW $520,000. Moose Crossing is an intimate enclave of just three townhouse units located in the heart of Waterville Valley Resort...where the mountains meet the glen. In keeping with this prestigious mountainside location, Moose Crossing townhomes have been constructed in the classic mountain style with natural wood siding, fieldstone accents, and vaulted ceilings. Moose Crossing’s greatest feature? Location. Just a short walk from Town Square, the center of village life in pedestrian-friendly Waterville Valley. And footsteps from Waterville Valley’s historic 9-hole golf course. (0 comments)

Imagine my surprise when I found our very own Waterville Valley Resort ranked #17! And imagine my further surprise when I clicked on the link and found that Waterville Valley Resort is also rated a 'best retirement destination!' I hope the publicity will encourage more people to discover our little secret: Waterville Valley! Share your comments with me by emailing email@example.com. Cheers!
