Self Validation - 01/28/11 04:37 PM
Self Validation! The most useful self valuation is "The Scientific Formula:" hypothesis (idea), experiment, and conclusion. "The Scientific Formula" is also the most time consuming and the most expensive proof of concept! As a fiduciary agent it's rarely our prerogative to spend/risk our principle's assets! We can't dismiss "The Scientific Formula" for even in real estate it remains the very best way to validate your ideas!
Self Validation! The most common self valuation is experience. The problem in real estate is that so many have six months experience, many times over yet express it in years, it's like the voluminous reader … (6 comments)

Memories - 01/25/11 08:51 AM
Memories the selected collective redacted and abridged summation of experience.
Memories that part of experience that endures.
Memories the useful usable part of education.
Memories that portion of who we are attributed to nurture.
Memories the difference between rational and irrational reactions.
Memories , good memories the greatest gift one can give another.
Memories combined with anticipation define who we are.

Anticipation! - 01/24/11 06:24 PM
Anticipation!
Anticipation, the dreidel of life! It's the basics of anxiety, hope and most importantly faith!
Anticipation, of rejection is the anxiety that dominates all of us.
Anticipation, of harm, fear pleges the conous mind.
Anticipation, of success, hope makes life worth living.
Anticipation, of reunion the reason to rush home.
Anticipation, of grandeur, faith motivates goodness in life.
Anticipation, everything yet to happen.
We all have many different Anticipations. Many of us share one with great hope, faith and even greater dread.

Shut-Up And Start Making Money - 01/23/11 03:43 PM
This is an excerise in redundancy, a simple idea from our collective past, sadly all to often often forgotten.
Shut-Up And Start Making Money!  Everyone is a salesman, some are just better than others! Salesmanship is a lesson in life! Salesmanship is the most common excuse most people make, for not investing in real estate, is they don't think they can make the sales necessary to buy and then sell an investment property, they don't think they're salesmen. They're insecure just like many agents! To avoid sales consumers don't invest and agents shirk their fiduciary, rationalizing sloth "saying that's not the … (5 comments)

Buyer's Agents A/K/A Waitress - 01/22/11 07:47 AM
Besides family, two of the three most important women if my early life were waitresses, both of them serving people to pay for college. I love a former waitress, I have since the day we met more than 40 years ago.
Never the less one of my early college classes was Business 101, it stands out because it was a case study of labor problems, between waitresses and cooks, tipped and salaried employees, service and professional labor. This was something that most of us at 18 had never considered.
I discussed this many years ago with one of the two, who had been working … (15 comments)

I Miss Hats - 01/17/11 12:27 PM
I Miss Hats! Big wide brimmed western hats! I miss the men that wore them. I miss the simplicity. The simplicity of color coded hats.
I Miss Hats! Big wide brimmed western hats! I miss a time when people knew right from wrong.

I Miss Hats! I miss the badges, too. I miss those little bits of medal that you could depend upon. I remember my first badge a shinny little REALTOR® Associate pin, suddenly I was a deputy good guy. Then I earned my REALTOR® GRI pin, I was the good guy! Then came my beloved FLI pin the … (14 comments)

Discounted Fees Discount Integrity - 01/08/11 01:33 PM
Discounted Fees Discount Integrity With regards to discounting his listing fees the commentor wrote the standard knee jerk reaction: "...Of course advertising would be limited to one black and white picture on my office door. You get what you pay for!"
My point of view is of course I've always worked as a fiduciary and my experience is that of a commercial investment broker who took selected single family listings not the other way around. Or as a lender required to correct incompetence to save the victims of Discounted Integrity!
I totally believe "You get what you pay for!"  But, … (14 comments)

In Search Of A Sympathetic Brain - 01/05/11 01:50 PM
In Search Of A Sympathetic Brain. I lost a friend New Years Day, we’d been almost constant companions for the last five years. We’d learned each others idiosyncrasies, the ins and outs of my though patterns. We worked well together. I loved my friend. I’m the worlds greatest expert on the opinions of William J Archambault Jr, my friend the greatest reference source on the same subject. We fought at times, but my friend never let me down, before.Alas, alas “Parting is such sweet sorrow, That I shall say good night till it be morrow.”After a three day wake I sadly … (13 comments)
