Beverly Woods and Beverly Woods East are conveniently located off of Sharon Rd on the other side of Fairview. SouthPark Mall in Charlotte, NC and the other neighborhoods I have blogged about before are located on the side of Fairview closest to Uptown Charlotte. Beverly Woods and BWE are wonderful neighborhoods built mostly in the 60's with a few being built in the early 70's. These neighborhoods have tricky school assignments so be careful and don't assume anything. Some are assigned to Selwyn Elementary, Alexander Graham Middle School, Myers Park High School and the others are assigned to Beverly Woods Elementary, Carmel Middle School and South Mecklenburg High School. Still a great location, close to the mall, and close to the Harris YMCA.
Currently, there are 27 active properties ranging in price from $205K to $435K, with the average being $355K. The square footage ranges from 1400 sq ft to 2900 sq ft, with the average being from 1800-2300 sq ft. These are great homes on nice lots at very affordable prices. Many owners have updated these homes and they are very attractive.
In the last year there were 30 properties that sold. Considering that the Charlotte, NC has slowed over the past 18 months, that should tell you how popular these neighborhoods are! The sales prices ranged from $242K (1389 sq ft) to $442K (2652 sq ft) with the average being $336K (2043 sq ft).
