Fallon Nevada Tea Party & 2nd Amendment Talk With Senator Ensign

Normally we have pretty good weather in mid-April, but not this year.  It reminded me of when I lived in North Texas and the snow blew sideways.  Anyway, the weather was a test for our protest stamina!

Many of us stood, in the 37 degrees, blowing wind, and snow flurries to make our voices heard. We shared opinions, played music, signed tea bags and displayed the American Flag.  As people passed by in their cars and trucks they waved, honked their horns and gave us the thumbs-up!

Afterwards we went to the American Legion Hall and our Nevada Senator Ensign joined us for a discussion on the 2nd Amendment and what may or may not happen in Washington.  Senator Ensign was optimistic there would not be any legislation that would affect our rights (at least in the near-future).

All over Nevada we made our voices heard.  Carson City had one of biggest protests in decades within earshot of our legislators.  "Do You Hear Me Now? "

Sandra - hopefully this will encourage enough interest to dump Reid pretty soon. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sandra, We didn't get to spend enough time with you or Senator Ensign.

I found this tea party to be inspiring, arousing and truly an enlightening experience. Everywhere were signs, "Dump Harry Reid", One Big Ass Mistake America", "Taxed Enough Already". Some people wore hats, mine was red with a lovely Red Rose tea bag arrangement.

We went to the one in Carson City, then raced over to Fallon to see Senator Ensign. He spoke of his position on the second amendment and it was one of empathy with us. I've seen him a few times on C-span and he is always interesting and frequently agrees with me, so of course he is right.
