And The Leads Keep Rolling In... Another Blogging Connection!

By

Hi All,

Well, it happened again tonight.  At about 9pm my phone rang and on the other end was someone who found me via my blogging efforts and wants to send me leads and offer up referrals!  To say that I am pleased would be inaccurate... THRILLED would be more like it!

It is so gratifying to find that all the hours I have spent happily toiling in front of my keyboard are paying off in more ways than one.  Not only am I able to enjoy the instant gratification I receive by seeing that people are actually reading and enjoying what I write, but now it is starting to generate business as well.  Amazing! Splendid! Sam-Fran-Tastic!

I will be meeting with my latest blogging lead on Thursday.  I can hardly wait!  Oh, and just to keep everyone in the loop, my referral client from NM will be in touch with me again tomorrow as soon as he hears about his loan.  We should be meeting sometime this weekend to go view some properties.  All this to look forward to, and a four-day weekend with my wonderful hubby Mel too boot!  Oh, and I just saw that I was selected as the #1 pick in this weeks Carnival of Project Blogger!  Does it get better!?

I am so happy I can hardly contain myself! Honestly, this is better than winning in Vegas (and I LOVE Vegas, so that is saying something)!  I find that I wake up each morning and the first thing I do is head for the computer to see what has happened overnight.  I love reading what everyone else has posted on their blogs and I learn more and more each day.

I just wanted to share my joy with everyone and to again wish you all the same experience very, very soon.  I am living proof, as someone who has been a Real Estate blogger for not even two months yet, blogging works!  Blogging works very, very well and the more I do it, the more fun it becomes.

Take care all, have a wonderful day and help lots of people,

How do I get all the links in my posts? Do I have to write my posts in HTML? I am trying to use anchor text for my links but I'm not sure how to do it. Please advise.

Hi All,

Katrina - Thanks, I am so happy to be able to have so many friends to share this exciting news and thsi exciting time with.

Connie - I'm not real clear on what you are asking.  Forgive me, I am still somewhat new here, but I will try to answer your question as I understand it.  To get a link into a post first type the word that you want to be what people see to get to a post, for example: "Click Here"

Next, copy the url of the post or site you want to link to.  If you don't know the URL of a post, right click on the title bar of the post, then click "properties" from the window that opens.  Highlight the entire URL from http://... to the end.  Close that box then highlight "Click Here" and go up to the blue bar above your post entry or comment and click on the fifth symbol from the left that looks like a links of chain.

That opens a linking window titled Insert/Edit Link and on the first line you will find a box labeled Link URL.  http:// will already be in the box and you can either type in the URL address you want to link to or paste it there.  Make sure that http:// only appears once.  I messed that up a few times the first times I tried to link anything :-).  Then click "insert" and voila it will look like this: "Click Here" a ready to use link.

I hope that helped, if you need more assistance, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer what I can and point you in the direction of the answers for what I can not.

Lynda - Believe me I am!  Thanks for the good wishes.

Sandra - It is very exciting and I am enjoying every minute of it.  Thanks for the kudos!

Take care all, help lots of people and have a wonderful day!

Thanks, Tisza - I think there is a problem on my side. The "insert-edit link" on my computer is shaded so I cannot use that feature. I wrote to ActiveRain to see if they can help me. I appreciate your time with this.

Hi All,

Janessa - No, I also blog on my personal Real Estate Blog site Route66Living.com (since this is my post originally, I think it is ok to put the link in here).  I have been enjoying writing for both sites and greatly enjoying hearing from my readers for both sites.

Roxanne - Thanks for the congrats.  I am very pleased with the results.

Doug - Thanks!

Connie - That sounds strange.  I don't know what could be causing that.  I am sure that the wonderful folks that run AR will be able to help you.

Kelli - Thank you that is high praise indeed!  And, yes I think that success is very contagious.  That is why I am so happy to share it and spread the good fortune around!

Take care all, help lots of people and have a wonderful day!
