Teresa - They are beautiful flowers. I saw several pictures yesterday from Holland with the most amazing fields of tulips. Very beautiful.

Inna - I wish I could take credit but all I did was take the photo! ;-)

Michael - Black tulips are my favorite of all.

Carol - Not in my garden unfortunately. As for bulbs, I only have irises, hosta, peonies, and hyacinths. This was actually in the gardens of The Old Mill Pottery House Cafe And Grill located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

I have seen the black tulips on occasion, but not often. They are stunning, and this is a nice sharp capture!

What a rich, deep red the tulip has on the tips. Thanks for taking the time to capture it's brilliance.

Hi Rich,

Just discovered your blog and the 'WOW' pictures...

makes me want to go dig in those boxes and find that last 35mm film camera ever made that I had to have and haven't used since the curse of the digitals.

Keep those pictures coming.

Craig - Thanks you for your kind words. Taking the time to find beauty, humanity, and numerous other emotions expressed through images can be very cathartic and rewarding. I have a photoblog on The Wordless Blog (a FREE network) entitled Rich's Pics. If you did out that old 35mm maybe you would like to share some of your images on your own photoblog.
