When It Rains It Pours!!

Oh my goodness, we have had around 14 inches of rain in the last 24 hours!! :)  I am thankful that we are high and dry, and that the kids had a day off from school.  I made homemade waffles for the first time in years!!  As I watched our cul-de-sac fill up with water last night, I was thankful for a well-graded yard and a well planned drainage system for the neighborhood!!  So, just a reminder that when you purchase a new home, NOTICE the way the builder grades your yard.  MAKE SURE that rainfall will drain AWAY from your home.    If it doesn't look right, politely tell your builder to fix it!  And don't forget one of my favorite resources-- www.TSARP.org

Enjoy the sunshine for now...as more rain is expected!! :)

Sonja--that is a lot of rain, but it sounds like you made the most of your day with the kids.  Be safe! Mary

Wow that is a LOT of rain!  I will agree with you that drainage is incredibly important- this is something that comes up frequently in home inspections.
