Brand Yourself While Marketing Your Listings by Going Door to Door...

The day before you are scheduled to have an open house.  Make about 50 flyer's and walk door to door with them introducing yourself and inviting the neighbors out to the open.  This is a great way to brand yourself while marketing your listings.  People actually get to meet you and ask you questions about the market and the listing in person.

You get to meet the neighbors ask them if they know anyone who wants to move in their neighborhood and you can actually get business this way.  There is nothing like the in personal touch.

I go out on the Friday before my Sunday open house.  I try to hit 100 homes and meet the people and tell them about what I am doing.  I invite them to the open house and ask them if they know anyone whom they would like to have move closer to them.  I tell them to give a flyer to them.  On Saturday I go to a surrounding area and do the same.  On Sunday, I make sure I am seen in the neighborhood, introducing myself to some of the neighbors i haden't met on Friday, reinviting people to the open house.  I have cards I leave on the doors where people aren't home, inviting them to open house with address, day, and time.  I also, send to all my prospects info about the open house and inviting them.  I do the same on Saturday with top Realtors in my area.  It has seemed to raise the attendance to the open house.

It is also, important to get names and addresses of those you talk to, even if they are just nice and don't slam the door or run the other way.  Send them a thank you note for them spending time with you.  You can then add them to your mail-outs.  Keep yourself in-front of them and constantly ask for referrals.  Become their local Realtor.  You need to be able to take over the area, and with them as your advocates, you will.  Peace

     Man are you every busy out there. I have been told (ActiveRain) to do 40- 10 to the right of the house, 10 to the left and 20 across the street. So far though.....nothing.

Great information, its something I've practicing and there's nothing better than door knocking inviting people to an open house.  I get most of my listings this way.  Great post.

I am going to start doing open houses again starting this week throughout September. Open houses dont seem to bring me buyers. But hopefully this time around,buyers and sellers will start coming my way. Great post.
