Lola is so cute!  I'm sure I would enjoy the trails with the ravines & woods.  Spring is such a pretty time of the year and I'm so ready for spring. We have had nothing but rain for weeks.  Thanks for sharing your great photos.

I like the pup picture the best too.  Though the trilliums are so beautiful.  Spring has sprung.

That is a huge cedar - any of it salvagable?  Thanks for the pictures.

I actually could smell the cedar tree - one of my favorite scents.

Jenny - Growing up in Ontario, I remember trilliums well. I loved to walk through the forest and breathe in all the fresh scents - unless, of course you run across a skunk :-)

Great pictures, but I love the cute doggie!  I was curious about Lola taking a hike.  Thanks for the mothers day smile!

Hi Connie Lou,

So you've had your April showers, now you are ready for those May flowers.  I haven't had the opportunity to visit Kentucky yet.  I did do a post about Kentucky Fried Chicken, oops I mean KFC, last week though lol.

Hi Sharon,

Yep, Lola is a keeper.  She is actually over 2 now.  I love cedar also.  Wish I could have taken it home with me.  I don't think the Town would have been too happy though.  Not sure what they will do with it.

Thanks Russ,

You must have trilliums in Michigan also?  It's against the law to pick them but I had transplanted some at my old house.  It was nice to see them pop up every spring.  This is our first spring in this house so it's nice to see what surprises are popping up here.

Haha Liz,

Yes, she's a groovy girl.

Hi Tim and Pam,

I'm thinking the Town will leave it there to rot but don't know. I could have used it for my new deck last year.  Not a cheap wood to use but oh so worth it.

Hey Jason,

Reminds you of your grandma's old blanket box?  Once in awhile I will show a house that has a cedar closet or sauna in the basement.  Not as common anymore though.

Hi John,

Now you just get the ocean smells, eh???  I spent a nice day in Cocoa Beach when I was down for the NAR conference last Nov.  Too bad I didn't know you then.

P.S. I haven't run across any skunks yet, and neither has Lola, thank goodness.

Thanks Janna,

And she is sitting outside waiting to go for one right now.  But her "mommy" is too busy playing in the "Rain" lol.

Hi Bill,

Yes they are too big for me too.  But then we never want to be "too big for our boots" do we lol??? (oops, are you too young to know that line???)

Thanks Rita,

Lola gives us lots of smiles too.  And my family and friends will tell you I was NEVER a dog lover.  But Lola changed me.

Lola does not look very pleased to be posing in the shoes. Did she get to go for a walk after the photo session?

Thanks Kim.  For years I took nature for granted.  It wasn't until I joined AR and started taking my camera with me everywhere that I realized the beauty that is out there.

Hi Russel,

Hahaha.  No, Lola is cute but no Hulk.

Hi Peg,

Thank you for your comment.  Funny how kids and pets pull at our heartstrings.

Hi Maria,

My daughter took the photo.  I was uploading the photos to my computer and came across it.  As to whether she went for a walk after, my daughter wanted a dog so badly but she seems to forget that walking her was part of the bargain.
