Should I Buy or Should I Rent? Sam I Am Version

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Alliance - Louisville REALTOR-Luxury Homes

Bennett Chef once famously bet Theodor Geisel $50 he could not write a book using only 50 different words.  With apologies to Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, I attempted to answer the above question in that spirit.

Do not pay rent, Oh No!
Buy a home. Keep your dough.

Hang a wreath on the door
Put your rug on the floor.
Hang your pics on the wall
It's your home, have a ball.
Paint a room without fear
Landlords will not enter here

Buy a roof for your head
Buy a room for your bed
Buy a stove for your meals
Buy a drive for your wheels
Buy your kids room to roam.
For your soul, buy a home,
                                        Buy a home,
                                                       BUY A HOME.

Do it now. Do not wait
Buy a home and lock your rate!

In case you don't know, Seuss not only successfully won the bet, but "Green Eggs and Ham" is one of the  Best Selling Children's Books of all-time.

Heather - Yes, the bet was for real.  I wonder whether Suess would pride himself more on taking $50 from his friend or from the success of the book?

Lol Claude.  On a somewhat serious note, I honestly think the message is getting out.  More and more first-time home buyers are calling.

Leander - I'm a bit skeptical, but one can always hope!  I have a lot more respect for him after trying this.  Fifty words is tough.

This is one of the most clever and unique things I have read in a LONG time! I hope you don't mind, I will be re-blogging that. It's too good not to share with others!!

You can tell your clients over and over again about the tax benefits or savings they can achieve from owning their own home, but with the other agents saying the same thing- you've got to differentiate yourself from the pack. Let me assure you, you have just sprinted past the rest of them!!

Thanks for sharing, Nicole Weidauer

Nicole- Thanks for the compliment and the reblog!  As far as the other part, I may have outpaced other agents, but I seem to have out run clients too.  Maybe I'm going in the wrong direction.  You got a map?
