Northern Liberties: Philadelphia's New Culture !
While a majority of Philadelphian's flock to the NJ Shore to welcome in the summer season as a Memorial Day tradition, Chris and I stayed home in our Northern Liberties neighborhood as we have done for the last 3 or 4 years now. But this year things have changed ! Rather than seeing silent streets, abundant parking spaces, and quiet restaurants throughout our neighborhood, things were booming !
Thanks to the newly opened Schmidt's Piazza in Northern Liberties, Memorial Day and every day will never be the same.Bart Blatstein (my most admired developer and business person right now) has literally created a culture in Northern Liberties seemingly overnight... A new terrain for entrepreneurs, artists, consumers and everything in between. Here are some of the sites we saw...
The Piazza provides views for the Apartments. Chris showing off his Hula Hoop skills.
African inspired preformers wowed the crowd! The stage below the big screen rocks with live music.
Darlings Diner: Friendly, Retro & Spectacular! Vino: Classy, Casual, Italian Inspired and Incredible!
Northern Liberties is officially a DESTINATION !! If you have not visited then make time to see all that is going on this summer. Come hungry and stay the entire day. There are plenty of things to do and see.
If you have any questions about the Northern Liberties neighborhood, we can help you !
