Surprisingly, it is not rare to see hot air balloons in the air around Green County, Wisconsin during the summer. In June, Monroe is even home to an annual hot air balloon rally. This photo was taken last summer at the home of friends. A balloon set down at the farm next door while we were enjoying an alfresco dinner party. The wind turbine is a 10 kW Bergey our friends put up at their eco-destination B&B, Inn Serendipity.

Awesome! I have a listing right now of a company that is related to the wind turbine...he said we will see wind farms here real soon....I think thatis awesome!
Brenda, that is great! There is a private venture wind farm out in a desolate part of our county. I think that it is a great idea!
Teresa, Green County is developing a very strong base of eco-residents. The more of us that live here, the more people like us are drawn to our area.
Lori and Tony & Darcy, we've had a wind farm go up about 20 minutes from here recently. There are private turbines in the county too. It is cool to see people relying more upon clean energy sorces.
