I was there last week!  My family has lived in Sedona for about 30 years, and boy has it changed!  A wonderful getaway, but very touristy these days and traffic can be bad on summer weekends.  However, there is lots to do and plenty of beautiful scenery.  We spent lots of time on the creek in the canyon, did a hike and relaxed.

Beth,

Arizona is on my "place to visit" list--I've never been and from everything I read and hear, it is a beautiful area.  One day...............................

Wow, great picture Beth. I lived in the Flagstaff area during the "90's and actually took many real estate classes in Sedona! One of my sons lives in Sedona and has a lucrative adventure guide / personal trainer business in town. I just love it there. I currently live (and do real estate) in Chandler AZ which enables me to travel up to Sedona a couples time a year since it's just a 2 hour drive away. Talaquapaque (sp?) is one of my all time favorite places in Sedona. I also make sure I visit Enchantment and Boynton Canyon, and Schnebley Hill Rd for the awesome scenery. Sedona is like the Grand Canyon - it's one of those places that everyone in America should experience!

Susan, Carlos & Cynthia: there's still time to make it - what are you waiting for?! ;^) But seriously, we have events you could use as an excuse almost any time of the year (if an excuse is what you need). If you ever ARE able to visit, give me a call.

Joanne & Kevin already know what there is to enjoy about Sedona. And yes, we have areas with lots of tourists, but also some lesser-known retreats and hikes. Kevin, glad you like the pic (too bad I didn't have a Spring photo, I'll have to work on that)! Does your son (and/or you) want to swap referrals?

Hi Lucky,

I'm finally back, thanks for noticing ;^) and for your comments. It's kinda hard to take a really bad picture of a beautiful place you love.

Valarie, I'm glad my photos brought you memories of your time in Sedona. I understand Washington State is amazing, it's on my 'To Visit' list. I'll have to check out your blog for photos!

Thanks Ann...it occurs to me that I should be checking your blog if I want to know what's going on in Flagstaff. Appreciate your stopping by. I need to catch up on posts (as Lucky points out;^), been away too long!

Appropriately enough for my Sedona location, AR has selected 'cactus' for the code for this post.

Hi Beth,

The photography here is breathtaking.  I would love an excuse to go and visit out that way.  Oddly enough, I just cannot find the time at this point.  You will have to eat, drink, and be merry on my behalf!  :-)  Have a great time...
