Dad

As this past week transpired I took the time to read a book and visit with my father. The book made me reflect on what is important in our lives and gave me an new insight on the creation and how our world evolved into the vast expanse that it is, and what our purpose is and how we should carry that out. So enough of that, I always enjoy seeing my father and spending time with him, when I was on the farm we spent everyday together and sometimes that got to be to much. Now as we both have gotten older we appreciate each other more and can relate to how things that have happened in our lives have effected us, and how we view things today. When we were growing up work was what we did on the farm and didn't get to go to town very much. as I think back on that it was what we knew and really its what I wanted. My goal was to be a farmer and my Father did everything he could to make that happen not only for me but for my two brothers also. We had opportunities given to us only by the sacrifices of my Father. At the time we didn't think he was doing anything out of the ordinary, but his goal was to help us get into farming. I farmed for a number of years and enjoyed it immensely, but there came a time when I was ready to quit and move to town. Only after we moved to town did I start to appreciate our relationship to a different level. I think when you don't see a person so often you get a better perspective of them. Thanks Dad for all you did, now its my turn.
