Arriving at Arts Fest!  Wow!  I can see all the festivities ahead!  I’m lovin’ it!  I can't wait!

First we watch the children dash to and fro into the water…out of the water…Ahhh…to be young again!  So care-free!

O...I love how I captured this shot:

Next we worked our way through the crowd to get down to Rapid Transit on Allen Street to where our son wanted to purchase some new Under Armour (for under his Babe Ruth All-Stars uniform - first game starts tomorrow night!)

At 2:00 today we enjoyed the pure sounds of Pure Cane Sugar (go Katie Twoey!).  Those girls can really sing!  Wow!  To listen click here.  (Btw, I noticed the sponsorship banner! Go Mortgage Source! One of my favorite mortgage lenders! And yes, I really mean it! Mortgage Source is one of the local mortgage companies that I recommend to my buyers! Theresa and the gang are awesome! No hidden fees. Very honest and ethical.)

Later we had to grab some funnel cake.  No festival is complete without funnel cake and lemonade! (And resting)

Then we headed over to the Youth Stage at Central Parklet.  And we caught then tail end of the Centre Dance Studio performances.  Check it out here:

And we’re so glad we didn’t miss the sand sculptures!  Whoa!  Aren’t they fabulous!  What talent!

I must say, I really wanted to find Staci Egan (Contempo Jewelry).  Where was Staci!  I’m sorry girl!  I really wanted to find your booth!  Sorry I missed you today!  So glad I still have a couple of days to get back down to see your designs.

So that was our day!  Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!  For Penn State's video tour of the Arts Fest, click here and enjoy!

Hey, were you following me or was I following you? LOL  The kids squealing with delight in the Allen Street water splash brought back memories of my youth.  And when Pure Cane Sugar took the stage, I couldn't pull myself away.  Their perfect harmony was awesome, song after song and in a live performance no less.

The sand sculptures were an unexpected surprise.  And the young ladies' impressionistic dances were wonderful, though I thought having to constantly adjust their clothing detracted from their performance.

The aromas from the food vendors were terrific and inviting, as usual.  But I made it a point to patronize charity vendors this year.  It was a very fine day!

Thanks Beebie for visiting my blog and for leaving your comments.  I really enjoyed reading what you had to write!  You are a very good writer!  I enjoyed it very much!  I need to take some lessons from you!  You really captured my thoughts.  I might have captured the day with photos.  But you sure captured the day with warmth and feeling in words that I could have never expressed any where close to how you expressed yourself!  Thank you for chiming in!  :-)  And you made me laugh...I'm not sure who was following who, but it sure was a fun day wasn't it!  And gorgeous!  The weather couldn't have been any better!

You need no blog lessons, especially from me.  Just continue being yourself.  I thoroughly enjoyed your photographs.

There were thousands of people there that day.  But I think there were not nearly that many who lived those moments which, as it turned out, we, unknowing of the other, shared.

You captured my day in pictures, though I took away only the memories.  It was, eerily, as though I had taken those photos.  Thanks for sharing them Nyssa.

Thanks Beebie!  Btw, I'm curious, where did you find the link to my blog?  From a google search?  Or from a friend that I gave the link to?  Or my post on twitter or facebook?  I would love to know!  I really appreciate it since I'm relatively new to blogging.  Not new in the real estate biz since I've been doing that for 13+ years now.  But relatively new to blogging.  And I'd like to know how it's getting out there!  Thanks a million!

I was using Google to search the Arts Fest, filtered by time and sites with images, curious to see if anyone had caught me playing hooky from work, LOL (it was just too fine a day to be indoors).  This site came up.

BTW, I think I'm not in any of your photos.  On Allen Street I'd be off to the right of the stage, in the semi-shade and behind the speakers (ever since a Grateful Dead concert about a hundred years ago, high decibel levels make my ears buzz).  But I digress.

Question for you: Why is your blog on 3 different pages or sites ---- activerain.com real estate blog, activerain.com my new outside blog, and localism.com?

Thanks Beebie for replying and letting me know how you came across it.  The blog is on three different pages/sites because I am getting my blog up and running.  ActiveRain has had a big hand in that.  So you'll see them be transformed in the next couple of days!  Thanks for visiting and hope you enjoy my posts!

That's cool!  Good luck with your blog Nyssa.  I enjoyed chatting with you about the Arts Fest.  But the other posts (and reader comments) are broker-braid . . . insider stuff I can't fully appreciate (though I am glad you got your Garmin back . . . that was a good one).
