The heat's on here in Southern California and the Buyers are lined up at the starting gate.(The white picket fence, that is) The race is on to find the best home in the most affordable price and get your offer accepted.
Being the first out at the starting gate doesn't assure winning the race. The Buyer faxes in or emails his offer and his offer may be followed by the many more offers. Sometimes there may be more than 10 offers on a property. First-time Buyers may find themselves beat out ( many are FHA buyers) by all-cash buyers and those Buyers who have 10% to 20% down payments.
The real estate market is offering so many opportunities for first-time buyers and investors. Unfortunately,the low inventory of properties are creating competitive conditions for home buying.
Turn up the air conditioning in the car, turn on some soothing music and get started again. The home you are wishing for may be just around the corner.
