Hey, folks!

Our Team Member Sue Moss updates what's happening around Chicago this weekend.  Another great summer, with no shortage of things to do - starting with a Lollapooza!

Lollapalooza 2009 - Grant Park (500 S. Columbus Drive)

In its second year here in Chicago, Lolla 2009 will feature more than 130 bands on eight stages.  There's even a Kidzapalooza Stage!  A handful of Metromix's Top 30 bands to see are April Smith, Fleet Foxes, Delta Spirit, Arctic Monkeys and Passion Pit.  And don't forget to stop by the Autograph Tent, so click here for an entire lineup of who's performing when as well as ticket information.

80th Annual Bud Billiken Parade and Picnic - King Drive and 39th Street

Join in the celebration this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the country's largest African-American parade expected to last until almost 4:00 p.m. ending at Washington Park for the annual picnic in the park.  Click here for more information on this event.

And, of course, the good times continue with a variety of neighborhood festivals, in case Lolla 2009 or the Bud Billiken Parade isn't your cup of tea, maybe one of these are --

Taylor Street Festa Italiana in the Little Italy neighborhood at Taylor and Loomis Streets.  In its third year, Festa Italiana will continue their tradition of serving up some of the finest Italian food to be had in Chicago.  And, who can resist being swooned by the Italian entertainers - Lounge Rat Pack, 3 Tenors Tribute to Mario Lanza, Chicago Tribute to Connie Francis and much more.  For the entire entertainment schedule, click here.

Caribbean Festival in the West Loop neighborhood at Union Park (1501 W. Randolph Street).  Needless to say, this fest of music will feature calypso, reggae, reggaeton, Latin and many more styles.  Click here for dates, times, prices and more.

Lincoln Park Arts and Music Festival in the Lincoln Park neighborhood at Racine Avenue between Fullerton and Webster Avenues.  This event takes place on Saturday and Sunday serving up food and drinks from its local restaurants and bars as well as providing two stages of live music - 10,000 Maniacs will be performing on Sunday evening!  Click here for further details and the entire music lineup.

Wrigleyville Summerfest in the Lakeview neighborhood at Seminary Avenue between Roscoe and School Streets.  In its seventh year, this annual street fest takes place on Saturday and Sunday and has plenty to offer on its agenda.  Click here for the details.

Korean Street Festival in the North Center neighborhood at Bryn Mawr and Kedzie Avenues.  In its 14th year, this cultural event will be serving not only traditional Korean food and entertainment but contemporary as well.  If you're looking for a change of pace, this will do it!  For dates and times, click here.

I didn't forget you movie buffs!  Tonight's Movie in the Park -

Saturday, August 8th:  "Igor", Peterson Park, 5801 N. Pulaski Road; and "Kung Fu Panda", Winnemac Park, 5100 N. Leavitt Street.

Enjoy the weekend!  Hope you'll get to spend it here in Chicago!
