I saw the URL to this video on Twitter (where else, huh?). It's just boggles the mind how quickly social media has taken off and how far reaching it is. You should really toggle this to full screen to get the full effect...and it's only a tad over 4 minutes.

If you've been thinking if all this Active Rain, Facebook, Twitter, etc. stuff is a waste of time (you know who you are!) you may change your thinking after the next 4 minutes....

Social Media is going to stay around for awhile. I can't wait to see what sites come up within the next few years.

Best,

Ken - I am sure social media is here to stay.  The question is what will be the next level of social media?  I'm like Michael, and can't wait to see what the future holds.

Ken - I think that social media is here to stay. It is a way people can now stay in touch even with their busy lifestyles.

It is interesting, but as the Internet evolves so rapidly in a few years we may look back and identify this behavior as a fad.  Time will tell!

I don't want to have to keep up with Twitter and Facebook as well as AR and LinkedIn! When will I have any time to do my job? :)

Thanks, Ken. I guess.

Cheers,

Robin

Ken, Great video, I would have to do some more research on the statistics on this video. However, I do agree with how the new social media (SM) WILL in fact be the future for some businesses, but I don't know about all. There is a lot to be said about personal contact and I would almost suggest that a mixture of both SM and personal contact will be the preferred method of business. Robin, You bring up a most important point. Time! How are we, as sales people, going to manage this new wave of targeted marketing while maintaining contact with people? I would, again, suggest finding time in your day (about 2 hours) for devoting to SM. I will be writing a blog on that very topic within the month, pending more research, which I think you will find most helpful. Have a great day! -Joe
