What Would Forrest Gump Say About the Real Estate Crisis?  It’s hard to believe that it’s been 15 years since Forrest Gump appeared on Hollywood’s big screen, sharing his interpretation on some of life’s most complex issues. No matter what the circumstances, whether it be war, politics, or love, Forrest had a pronounced ability to see things differently than most of us and then put them into perspective. But even Hollywood’s Forrest Gump couldn’t find a bright spot in one of the worst economic and housing market crises in the history of the United States, or could he?  Read more here...

John,

I don't know what Forrest would say but I think it is true that many Americans last fall, winter, and this spring would have said to Forrest:

                          RUN, FORREST, RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bruce,

LOL.  Do you think we should still be running?  Let's take an unofficial poll.

A.  The worst is over.  We're on the mend.

B.  It's not over yet.  We still have a ways to go before we're through this.

C.  There's another major crisis just waiting to happen.

D.  Other (please explain).

Until we clean up the foreclosure and unemployment mess, in CA we have a long way to go.  And potentially there's another crisis just waiting to happen.  So I say..."B."

John,

Notice I didn't say "summer"; I do think confidence is slowly returning.

There are simply too many issues on the table(health care, possible tax increases, massive deficits) yet, to even begin to speculate what is going to happen in the future.  I do believe you are correct that we have a ways to go yet.

Thanks for the reply!
