This little pumpkin has escaped the garden and is growning up on the WRONG side of the fence with the ragweed that infests the nearby field this Ham Lake, MN backyard.
Amazing to think that Halloween is just around the corner! Sorry the pumkin reminds me of Halloweeen:)
Teri... that is so true in what Bill G. stated. And would that pumpkin be mine if I am opposite of the garden? ;o)
Pumpkins and the cold weather football and all that is fall it is one of the best season except we all know the snow is coming.
Teri, Already? I can't believe there are pumpkings growing already....We'll have to wait another year for watermelons. Wow, it's hard to believe!
April--I always thought of fall as a season where things began again not spring...probably because of the school year. I too like the cooler temps of fall but we didn't have much of a summer this year in MN.
Lee&Carol--Didn't think everyone would think of this as a fall photo...there is green on the pumpkin and ragweed 'the hayfever-flower of August' in the photo. But...Labor Day weekend is the unofficial end of summer so I understand the connection.
Anna--It's too early for the pumpkins to come out for decor around here too...They are still growing and the flowers are still blooming...Around Oct 1st is when we decorate (and clean up all those darn leaves...pretty on the trees but lots of work in the yard!)
Jim--I guess I reminded myself too...unintentionally. My escaping pumpkin photo was timed perfectly for the unoffical end of summer!
Joan--You and me both! We have fields of that nasty yellow congestion-maker around us! It always has be hoping for an early frost!
Bill--Obviously you are not alone...Cute little growing pumpkin has everyone thinking fall today! :)
Karen--Absolutely....Brave little guy that is escaping out of his protected world inside of the fence. Lots of raccoons, oppossums and rabbits on the outside!
Jeff--LOL Depends on how fast you can run...there are two big guard dogs where this little pumpkin lives!
Terry and Bonnie--Yes...I love fall but winter is another story. Ice and snow is not my favorite time of year...kids love to ski though.
Pat--Pumpkins are growing and ready to be picked soon...This one has a few more weeks before it is ready though...And we have a few more weeks of summer temps too. :)
Carole--Not fully grown but turning orange...a few more weeks until this one is picked and carved for Halloween...or pumpkin pie. :o)
Teri,
I've been on the wrong side of the fence more than once, so I understand where this pumpkin is! LOL!
Teri
It's amazing how determined anything can be when it sets it's mind to it.
