Who knew Cornhole could be a networking opportunity?!

So, I'm recently divorced and I've been looking for a way to get out of the house on evenings I don't have appointments or my daughter.  A friend proposed that I join a cornhole league at Ben's Place in Raleigh.  Last week was the first week I was in the tournament.  It was a ton of fun but I stink at this game! 

While playing, I struck up a conversation with the opposing team.  Come to find out, they do relocation and head hunting for the IT field.  It was quite interesting.  IT is a strong job/career field in the Raleigh, Durham, RTP area.  Our conversation went from "Hey, nice to meet you.  What do you do?" into a win-win plan to help each others businesses.  He needed a third party resource to supply information and reassurance to potential recruits.  I always need sources of business.  The other benefit is his office is based here in the Raleigh area and he'd like to have me host some educational seminars for his staff.  We've already been in contact and I've helped one possible relocating family in less than a week.

I'm headed there again tonight and I can't wait to see what happens...
