Population density varies depending on the County in Northeast Florida. The entire county of Duval is the City of Jacksonville, the largest city in the continental United States. Essentially urban in many places, it is the most densely populated area in Northeast Florida, with a population of about 850,000 in the city and 1,300,000+ in the metropolitan area.
The most sparsely populated county is Baker County, home to wide open spaces and a few small towns.
