Here's an opportunity to spend 2 great days with your family - one sharing with your kids the good feelings that come from volunteering and one enjoying a Disney theme park FREE!
Beginning in January, 2010, Disney will be offering ONE MILLION FREE TICKETS to their popular theme parks in exchange for volunteering a day of your time to one of the participating charities and organizations. You have to sign up in advance on the Disney website and work for one of the organizations they will list in your community.
You can sign up the entire family with kids as young as 6 eligible to participate as long as they work with an adult family member. It's one ticket per person, no matter how many times you volunteer and there will be a limited number of tickets available under this program.
We've been taking the kids (and now the grandkids) to Disneyworld since it first opened in Orlando. It's a great family destination but in today's tough economic times, it's hard for many families to afford the price of admission. Kudos to the Disney organization for finding a way to give to American families while we give of ourselves to those who need a little help.
