It's no secret....   The gap between rich and poor is widening.  We hear this in television interviews.   We read it in newspapers and magazines.    This should be telling us information we can use.

What it's telling us to to direct our marketing to those that still have.....rather than those who have not.....or fear having not.

You can do this in several ways.   A key method is target....or niche marketing rather than being all things to all people.

FOCUS,   FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS.

Know your market.   Know what people can afford and what they're buying.....then FOCUS your energy in that direction.    GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT, rather than spinning your wheels trying to sell unwanted property to wanna-be buyers.   Create a NICHE that is yours alone.

Wouldn't it be great if you were the ONLY real estate agent in your community?   Imagine all the competition leaving town to seek their fortunes elsewhere.    You can eliminate (or substantially reduce) the competition by carving out a little piece of the pie that's yours alone.    In the words of Captain Kirk....  "GO WHERE NO ONE HAS GONE BEFORE."

Define and sharpen your marketing..   Make your website "customer specific" and eliminate the words "I, We, Our, My, Us" from your website and your advertising.   To put it bluntly....The customer doesn't give a @#$%& about you.   His only interest is having his own real estate needs resolved.    Target your website directly at your specific NICHE.   (In case you don't know it.....you have less than 8 seconds to make a good first website impression, or your customer is gone......often for good.)

When getting involved in a NICHE business you'll have to be razor sharp in what you do.   Never sell your customer short.   Today's home buyers are often real estate savvy people who have done their homework.   Your website is not the first they've checked out.  They know the ins and outs of what their searching for.   What they need is YOU to bring it all together.   That's where LISTENING CAREFULLY comes in and then meeting their expectations the FIRST TIME.

Make your website personal.   Remember....you're generally reaching only ONE PERSON AT A TIME.    Speak to that one person in ways that are meaningful to him.....and him only.

FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS.

IF YOU HAVE A DUD WEBSITE THAT'S NOT WORKING FOR YOU.....REDO IT IMMEDIATELY.   Make it work for your customer.

Lastly......if you don't have TailGateTags on your car you're missing out on reaching thousands of individual clients every single week.    Don't be penny wise and pound foolish.

Yes....One person at a time.   Just like newspapers are read one person at a time....websites are usually looked at by one person at a time.  Make your copy play to just one person and address his needs directly.....without any mention how wonderful you are in your abilities.   When you address your customers needs head on, he'll know you know your stuff.   Websites should be customer specific.   You'll come out a winner.   Thank you for the reply.   David
