Is a "bat storm" what I think a "bat storm" is or did you mean to say "bad storm"?  Just curious.  Beautiful shot.

Yes - Bat storm - its a shot of the congress bridge in Austin TX - every evening approx 1.5 million - yes, million bats fly out from this bridge!!

Oh, it really is a bat storm.  Well hopefully they help keep bugs under control.  They're pretty amazing creatures.

I think I remember reading that the bats eat 10,000 - 30,000 of insects every night!

I was in Austin for a Keller Williams Training event when someone asked - Have you seen the bats??

David - It looks like you took a great shot from the riverfront trail or from the Four Seasons.  It is pretty amazing to see bat streaming from the bridge at dusk.

Can you believe that you can take a boat tour and be on the town lake and under the bats as they fly away!  Ohm, and in case you are wondering - standing under the bridge is not recommended - nor does it smell all that great!
