I learned today that survey companies are starting to expect payment at the time of the survey rather than sending the bill to the closing. How is this going to affect a situation with seller paid closing and prepaid costs? Is anyone else experiencing this or is this just localized to the Birmingham Alabama market? I was not about to go pay the man upfront. As far as I am concerned he can take the same risk I take when listing a house and expending energy and advertising with the possibility of not getting paid.
