One Thing Needed To Stop Fringe Living

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Medical DiagnosisA new fall TV show's name sparked a thought. If we are cognizant of our behavior over time we reflect back on it, and "diagnose" what we are doing wrong. Some work hard at this. But still we can fall into a trap of "fringe" living. That is "almost" getting to where we want to go. There is

One Thing Needed To Stop Fringe Living.

It is COMMITMENT. Why do we not quite lose the weight desired? Why do we not advance in a career to a level we want? Why are we still struggling with a relationship?

There just has to be a burning desire in there somewhere to get what you want. Otherwise you are stuck on the "fringe." Never getting to the promised land. Figure out what you want out of life. Limit it to a handful of things not a huge broad spectrum. Then "commit." People may call you crazy with you having such a burning passion to hell or high water you are going to get there. Laser focus. Visualize. Get up early. Whatever it takes. You WANT that prize. Otherwise you will be relegated to that proverbial living lives of desperate quiet desparation Thoreau quote.

Gary - Right you are.  I think commitment can cure a lot of ills.  On another note, I haven't seen that show, but I heard it was worth watching.

Gary, that is the biggest problem in our society today.  Living beyond our means and not wanting to work harder to get what we want.

Hi Gary:

You hit on it here...

The attitude needs to be...Whatever it takes...in order to get to a goal, otherwise was use is it to make a goal in the first place.

Gary, my problem is TOO MANY fringes!  :-)

Seriously, good advice - I need to cut a few things out and concentrate on the few that are left.

Hi Gary, If we don't know what we want, how would we know we are still on the fringe??  Great thought about laser focus, and useful information as we near the end of this year and goal setting for next - Thanks Gary!

Are you talking about the FOX show Fringe? If so, that show is in the second year. We're sorta hooked on it. It's like the X-Files.

Gary- I love this show! We actually have a Fringe night out with friends every week. I love your connections. It definately takes commitment to get to where you want to go. BTW- How do you like having Leonard Nemoy back in the world of television? He is such an icon! I wish they would put him on more often!
