The Last Flowers of Fall

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage - ABR - SRES

Just four days from Thanksgiving we still have hydrangeas blooming in our front yard - the last flowers of fall.  But now, instead of pale blues and pinks, the colors mirror the surrounding trees.  We'll cut some this afternoon and enjoy their dried beauty long into winter.

Michael - That is a rare sight.  I think most all of the Hydrangeas here in Sacramento have bit the dust.

Michael, those flowers are just beautiful! You should definitely make them last as long as possible!

We have been fortunate to still have a few warm days to enjoy the last of the leaves and remaining flowers.  Have a great week.

Myrl - This is a fairly recent cultivar and is known for it's long blooming season.  I just feel lucky it extends this far into the season.

Taylor - Fortunately hydrangeas are one of the easiest and best flowers to dry.

Pat - It has been a nice fall hasn't it?

Thanks to everyone for stopping by.

Hi Michael ~ This is a gorgeous photo. I love hydrangeas. I picked a bunch at a listing this summer and discovered they make the most beautiful and longlasting bouquet.

Liz - The nice thing about hydrangeas is that you can dry them simply by arranging them in a vase and then just let the water naturally evaporate.  No muss, no fuss.

Tony and Darcy - Glad I took that picture on Sunday, it's cold and rainy right now!
