Become Your Own Puppetmaster When It Comes To Negative Energy

PuppetmasterReading many rants in the blogosphere and just watching various people get all hot and bothered about political or religious positions reminded me how we should try to

Become Your Own Puppetmaster When It Comes To Negative Energy.

Negative energy is SUCH a waste of our time. Little spurts perhaps are ok to try to drive your point or opinion. But some people go on and on and on. I think they need a life doing something productive and need to disengage their mouth or from their keyboard and give it a rest. Negative energy is draining too. From the puppetmaster view, you control the energy field around you. Energy influences our mind and body.

Not to be too pollyannish, and say we ought to be positive all the time and run around with the rose colored glasses on. But to NOT BE NEGATIVE is a huge plus in your life. First off, welcome to the human race if you find things about you negative in your life. Some things that are negative, and then perhaps directions to go otherwise:

  • Unpleasant situations
  • Major problems
  • People that don't like you, who don't even know you
  • People that strongly disagree with your beliefs

What to do?

  • Instead of fighting, work toward a solution
  • Move AWAY from a situation, distance yourself from the situation or problem if that is reasonable
  • Take time outs from the irritant. Meditate or do something else you enjoy to get refreshed
  • Do not add fuel to the fire "escalating" the negativity unless the result will take you back to neutral
  • Do not let people manipulate or control you. Stand your ground. You are in charge of YOU

If you visualize yourself as YOU pulling your own strings, YOU being your own puppemaster, you will be far ahead of the masses that give those string controls over to someone else. The bottom line is life is entirely too short to have so much charged up negative energy around you. Diffuse the bad energy around yourself and when you get good at that part "infuse" good energy around someone else's puppet. It's always fun to see them dance (and smile).

hi Gary, in a universe the size of the blogosphere, we'll never please or get along with everyone and shouldn't even try. I try to avoid people who bring me grief and hang out with people who bring the good, the fun and the cookies. ;-)

Gary, I try real hard to not do negative. It's too draining. I have always been a very positive person even when going through very difficult times. I have been accused many times of living in a cave and denying reality but that's really not the case at all. It's just that what some folks consider negative I consider a normal part of life.

Gary - I think I will practice "visualizing" me being in control of my own strings.  Excellent food for thought.

Gary -

Great advice.  As they say 10% of life is what happens to you.  The other 90% is how you react to it.

Gary that is such a true statement "Negative energy is a waste of time" use your time to engage in fruitful activities such as something that will enhance relationships, or build someelse up instead of tearing each other down.

Hi Gary,

I love the term "puppet master!!" I do believe "negative energy is a waste of time" and refuse to allow situations or people to weave me into their web. Great presentation with a wonderful illustration..we can be in control of our thoughs and actions. It is way more fun to dance and sing!!

"Life is too short for that" is one of my most-used phrases. What it's too short for is invariably some negative emotion or action. I know people who insist on dwelling on the negative, and I really try to limit my contact with them- it saps my energy just to be around them.

Negative energy is a HORRIBLE waste of time and you are  right not to be all sunshine and roses either.  I try to turn negs into pos and make lemonade out of the lemons handed me.  Sometimes you can just get sucked into the vortex of negative energy however!

Your blogs are always a ray of sunshine on a cloudy windy and soon to be rainy Monday afternoon!

Gary - I don't waste my time or energy on negative thoughts or negative people.  Unfortunately, there are always certain significant family members where exceptions might need to be made. Do you want their addresses so you can mail them a copy of this post?  LOL.

stay away from the negaphites. don't read ConstantlyNegativeNews (CNN).

when something non-positive happens stop and think if dwelling on it will change anything, if not, well you decide.

your attitude is just that YOUR attitude, decide to do with it what is in YOUR best interest.
