Living in the city in Manhattan I am practically on a car free diet.  The public transportation is really the best way to get around the city.  Its still nice to get out to the suburbs and drive around a little bit.

I do not believe in the Global Warming/Environmental hoax.  Taking action aspersonal choice to save on expenses is fine.  If cap and trade goes through, and Obama signs the treaty in Copenhagen, we become a third world country, if we are lucky.  Also, the pictures produced by AP to show smog/fog coming from smoke stacks have been shown to be enhanced or doctored photos.

Man cannot destroy the earth.  If we could, we could stop Hurricane's, Tornadoes, Storms, Tsunami's, Volcano eruptions and the like. The global warming hoax is to siphon money from rich countries to give it to the poor countries, through the greedy politicos.

Just read about the leaked emails from the IPCC and the refusasl by NASA to release documents requested under the freedom of information act.

Stanley, I appreciate your comments.  There are some other things to consider besides global warming.  If you were able to reduce the number of cars in your household it would also reduce your use of oil.  I assume you would agree that reducing this country's dependency on oil could have major advantages and would extend the time before we run out of this limited resource.  Also consider that every vehicle you own will one day add to the land fills.  Not to mention the money you will save with fewer vehicles and the possibility of more exercise.

To answer Maria's question, this is something we are planning to implement as soon as possible.
