An emu’s day on the town.

Have you ever looked out your living room window and went "woo what is or was that?" Well that is exactly what I did this last weekend. Here was this giant bird walking down the street, and heading for my neighbors yard. At first glance we thought that it was an ostrich but soon discovered it had wings making it an emu. Emu's are originally indigenous to Australia but are brought over for farming purposes. This guy visited several people on the block so that we could all get pictures, (sorry there not uploaded.) The police were called so that he wouldn't get harmed. The officer did not attempt to catch him however; instead he followed him around town. As far as we know he made it home safe and sound. Only in Nekoosa Wisconsin will you find an emu walking the streets in the winter.

So cool. My wife growing up looked out her window in Chester England and told evrybody there were monkeys in the beech tree outside. Of course everybody finally looked and nobody believed her. But next day in the paper the local zoo had an article about escaped gibbons
