Motivation/Procrastination

What motivates each of us defends on our personalities, backgrounds, environment, etc.  Some of us are more susceptible to the weather for example.  A gray cloudy day puts us in a funk, a bright sunny day reflects in our mood and what we can accomplish that day.  To stay motived no matter what your peculiarities can be challenging.  What do you do to stay motivated?

Staying on task is my biggest challenge to motivation.  I awake each day determined to  get it all done.  But so many things distract me that my motivation soon wands.  Therefore it is in the mornings that I must write it down, what is to be accomplished that day, week, etc.  Keeping to the list is important.  Once you have created those tasks keep to them first.  Of course things will come up that may need to be put first that are not on the list but don't let every little thing get you off track.  If you find you can not get an item done move to another, don't let it bog you down.

Do take breaks, talk to your co-workers, friends, etc. Just get up and stretch, take a short walk, even daydream a little.  These activities will help to clear your mind and make it easier to move on with your list of assignments.

May you get all accomplished today that you have on your must do and to do lists!!

Reward yourself and relax knowing it's a job well done.

I hear you Jackie I do the same thing but I have learned a little bit about time management. I start the day with 10 things to get done by the time I come home, as I check them off on the back I add to it. There will always be things that pop up but unless it is showing, selling or a money maker right then I put it on the back. Then the next day I add the back to what I didn't get done up to the ten.

I have always manage to keep it 10 or less.
