Who's Relocating?

Do you notice a significant number of people relocating for reasons due to the diminishing economy? Are they looking for less expensive neighborhoods to live because of loss of employment/ lack thereof? What explanations are clients giving for pulling out of contracts or potential deals? What are some reasons you've heard? Let me know.

Many of the relocation clients are coming into the area and giving lowball offer and trying to say that they will not give more since they had to take so much less for their house where they were coming from.  That just makes people mad.  Our area has not been hit that hard.

I track my craigslist postings for my clients and am surprised at the large number of people from outside Lane County and Oregon that look at the real estate postings.

Renters are relocating. People who "own" have to stay in the area when they loose their job. Just heard of another one yesterday. It's scary out there.
