I just returned from a much needed vacation. I usually have my laptop on and phone ringing off the hook when I am on vacation, but this time I really tried not to work. I did very well. I only had a few phone calls I needed to return during the week and barely turned on my laptop ( I still took it though. I couldn't cut the cord). I have to say it feels so good to be able to say, I am on vacation and actually enjoy your trip.
I feel rested, excited to be back to work and energized. It really is true, you can't work all of your life.
We had a beautiful trip to Squaw Valley (Tahoe area). I skiied and ice skated and went sledding with my 3 year old son. The weather was great for most of the trip and we all really enjoyed being outdoors and having fun again. I can't emphasize enough how I think we should all take a break now and then from reality (or should I say Realty).
Hope you too can take a break this year and enjoy something new or something you love to do that you haven't had time to do lately.
