Wordless Wednesday Up Close and Personal

I have to admit that I enjoy taking pictures of textures, flowers, places of interest, where I live...you get the point.

The following pictures I took here in Surprise Arizona. Just tooling around with my camera, a girls best friend, okay at least one of them.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do sharing them with you. I believe that there is so much more to see when you look a little deeper.

This picture is a close up of a cactus that's in my back yard. The little pricklers on this particular cactus are really small. They attach themselves to your clothes and skin (and everything else) if you brush up against it.

This second picture really caught my eye. I was cleaning out my refrigerator the other day and came upon this. It's actually frozen sun tea that separated. I think it is an awesome picture.

This picture is of trimmings from a palm tree here in Sun City Grand. My client's neighbor was trimming his and I couldn't resist this squiggly looking stuff. He told me that the little balls are actually seeds. Needless to say I took my pictures and left it outside for garbage pick up. The bunnies enjoyed every bite of it.

Josee, cool pictures!  Those Cacti do attach themselves to anything and everything, I have tangled with them several times in the past.

Tony & Darcy-Hello there-Glad you liked the pics and thanks for your comments.  Yes, those tiny pricklers attach and stick around just enough to irritate.

Hello Josee, your photos are very good and in our micro world, things are so fascinating.  When I get over my cold that has been with me for almost 10 full days, I am anxious to get out and start taking new photos with my new Nikon. The weather is in the 80 and bright and sunny days. With all the lenses and filters, I am ready for anything I can come upon.

William-Thanks for your comments-What type of Nikon do you have?  My camera is a Canon Powershot SD1000 Digital 7.1 mega pixels.  I had it set in the micro setting, no flash.  Then I cropped it and put it on Activerain.  That's It!  I know, pretty basic stuff.  I'm thinking if I just took the time to learn more, I'd take much better pictures. Glad you liked the sun tea photo.  I thought it was pretty cool too.

Josee, fantastic photos. I was trying to guess what the first photo was...would have never guessed it was a cactus.

Great shots...It is amazing to think of the micro worlds all around us. It reminds me of the movie 'Powers of 10" where the cameras zoom in and then zoom out in powers of 10. It really puts things into perspective.

Rebecca-Thanks for your comments.  If you're not from around here it's hard to tell that it's a cactus.

John-I never saw the movie, Powers of 10.  When was it put out?  Thanks for your comments.

Debi-Thanks for your comments-Glad you liked the frozen tea.  It really looked pretty cool and the picture brought it to life.
