Well you gave them something they could certainly use. I once did this with the cheapest place to get gas and had great success but got no business.
I have always learned that activity generates activity. Even though you may not thinking that your activity is working, there is always activity be generated if you are working.
I go and door knock for sale by owners but never get a lead that day, but then out of the blue I will get a call from someone that wants to list their home.
