Is Blogging On Active Rain Or On Your Own Website The Place to Blog?

By
Real Estate Agent with ERA Realty Center

I noticed one of the real estate agents in our area who used to blog regularly on active rain is no longer blogging here.  I asked him why, and he said he doesn't have time to blog both blogs, so he blogs only on  his website.  He feels that's all the matters anyway.

I'm actually trying to simplify my life, also.  I wonder if anyone has an opinion as to whether both are necessary and why?  I'd love some input.  Thank you.

You should be able to blog one time and have feed automatically to the other blogs.

My broker believes that you get more google juice from the activerain site but I am not sure that there isn't value in having your own site out there - will be an interesting discussion. thanks for bringing up the question.

Actually you can do the same post to both and get google juice from both.  That is why I take my posts and put them on Facebook and other social networking sites.

I have done both...but my outside AR blog rocks...so instead I simplified...I use my website more now for properties etc...and facebook fan page merges both my website and AR outside blog...and it puts both in front of my clients without being in their face...besides, I love the way I get to stay in touch with current and past clients...
