First Time Home Buyers-Not Newlyweds Anymore
Not too long ago a decent share of my real estate industry marketing was focused on first time home buyers that were newlyweds. Anything that had to do with newlyweds was worth the time and real estate industry marketing dollar. That market niche has unfortunately fallen by the wayside due to our current economic challenges. There was a time when bridal fare season was a time that I looked forward to, and not because I was getting married. Bridal fare season used to be a time when a creative realtor could hook up with a hair salon, a nail salon, and maybe even a tux rental shop to share booth space and reach a large amount of perspective first time homebuyers.
It seems nowadays soon to be married couples are doing all they can just to get the wedding done. I guess I am just missing the good old days when creative real estate industry marketing went a whole lot further. Don’t get me wrong, “thinking out of the box” is more important now more than ever, but now it is a matter of survival, not getting a bigger share of the market.
