POOL HOMES IN VEGAS CAN BE A BREEDING GROUND FOR MOSQUITOS

By
Real Estate Agent with HomeSmart Encore - Las Vegas S.65708

Abandoned homes in Southern Nevada with stagnating pools is a mosquito breeding concern.

Really, it is!  No, I'm not making this up!  We have had cases of the West Nile here.

You know you have seen these green mini ponds in the back yardsof some homes you may show, and you know you are wondering what else may lurk below that oozing slime filled gooey mesh....so how many of you just walk away?  Don't, notify the listing agent and if that doesn't work see below.

The Southern Nevada Health District_s Vector Control office has a mosquito control hotline (759-0614) or on-line mosquito complaint form www.SouthernNevadaHealthDistrict.org

This was a big issue here in Beaumont, California as well. That is until the City of Beaumont started placing lein fines on the properties!

We had the same problem here in Boca Raton and South Florida. I don't see it as much anymore.  Now the banks are cleaning them up to help sell the homes.
