After searching high and low we starting researching a place called Lake Norman, North Carolina. This place seemed to have it all; great weather, an hour from the mountains, 3 hours from the ocean, 20 minutes from Charlotte (NC), plenty of job opportunities and a beautiful large man made lake. My wife and I took a long weekend trip to Lake Norman and knew right away that this was the place. Two months later we moved to Huntersville and ever looked back.
The Lake Norman area really does have it all. Homes in the area start in the $120's and range up over 5 million in some of the exclusive luxury lake-front communities. Some of the countries leading companies have moved to the Charlotte and Lake Norman area. Local industry includes Lowes Home Improvement Corporate, Bank of America, Wachovia Bank, BB&T, Irwin Tools, Rubbermaid, numerous NASCAR teams, Ingersoll Rand and a booming real estate industry.
Yes......! You can do it. Start the next chapter of your life by moving to the Lake Norman, NC area. I would say 80% of the people I speak with in the area have moved here from some other place in the United States. Somehow they have found this great place to live. Now you have too.
