I was having my morning fix of caffeine at Koffi today, when I received an email from Brian Block of Alexandria, VA. My first MeMe had been delivered.
Here are 5 things you wanted to know about me, but were afraid to ask:
My Love of Travel- I have always wanted to travel to exotic locations all my life but never had the opportunity. Well over the last 2 years, I have been making up for lost time. I have traveled to Hong Kong, Macau, Italy, England, France, and Peru. My favorite spot so far has been Machu Picchu, now one of the new 7 wonders of the world. I am going to be in Buenos Aires at the end of the year for Christmas & New Year's.
I Want to Buy a Vowel, an "E"- I was on a Wheel of Fortune episode seven years ago.
I came in second place and won $4500. I would have been first place, if only I had solved the final puzzle in time. The category was Classic TV, and the answer to the puzzle was "The Dick Van Dyke Show". I still have the episode on video, and watch it every so often. Oh, the agony of defeat!!!
Skydiving- I went on my first skydive three years ago with my friend Sean because no else would do it. The rush of jumping out an airplane at 13,000 feet was the most exhilarating experience of my life. I use that experience to help me realize that I can do anything I set my mind to.
Film Noir Movies- Ever since I was a kid, I would watch all the old black & white movies from the 40's & 50's. The movies always had the femme fatales, scandalous storylines, and of course, murder. My mother thought I was crazy!! I love when the Film Noir Festival comes to Palm Springs. My favorite movies are Double Indemnity & Mildred Pierce.
Brussels Sprouts- Hate is a very strong word, but in this case I'll make an exception. I was a kid when I first laid my eyes on this strange vegetable. I could not stand the taste or the smell of the mini cabbages. It reminded of the pod people in the original movie of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".
Thanks Brian for choosing me to MeMe. Now you know a little more about me on a personal level. Now I have to choose 3 people to MeMe, and the winners are:
Lexa Montierth- She liked my Localism post, and featured it in Localism Week in Review.
Stacey Ward- She was one the first people to respond to my post on my Journey into Blogging.
Christy Powers- She wanted to see me do my "happy dance" after I got my 1st featured post.
I am looking forward to reading everyone's MeMe. Happy Blogging!!
