There is a great life lesson about the reality of not quitting. It actually comes from the comic strip Pogo.
People love to quit on things and then complain. It is just the easy way out. But it is a double edged sword when you think about it. OK, times get tough and we move on, totally natural right?
But there is a catch. Think about it. You can leave your career, move away to a new state, retire, get divorced, start some new business, hang out on the porch and drink beer, but with the game of life you really can't quit until your very last breath.
We can complain things are not fair. So what? Where does that take you? Nowhere. You just quit, move on, drop out, but here's the catch: YOU are still there. The OLD YOU has to take yourself to the NEW YOU, the new activity, the new spot. Coming from the comic strip character Pogo,
"Everywhere I go, there I am."
You are stuck with YOURSELF in life and you can't leave yourself behind and bring yourself to whatever NEW is.
Don't feel sorry, or stay frustrated, or feel too stressed or want to quit again, cause you are very much STILL in the game.
It isn't the outcome that matters but the fact with the ups and downs you are still PLAYING in the game.
DO THE BEST YOU CAN. Accept the losses and celebrate your victories. Above all, LIVE IN THE MOMENT. You can't quit. You really can't when you think about it.
