This is not the first rodeo for Gail Dean of St. Augustine. She has been cooking in recipe contests for decades.
Dean participated in the Hunts' Great Spaghetti Hunt regionals in the 1980’s. She has also participated in the 
Florida Beef Cook-off in 1990, 1991, 1993 and 1995. In 1991 she made it to the National Beef Cook-Off representing Florida where she received an honorable mention.
Dean thinks her college major in Biology is a natural progression from science to cooking. She loves to experiment with new recipes. Orlando bound April 11-13th Dean will be vying for the top prize of $1million dollars for her Orange-Coconut Tiramisu Tart recipe.
I wish you the best of luck at the bake-off Gail and want to thank you for sharing your desert recipe. I’m looking forward to trying it out for myself.
