This is a follow up to my blog post on the community of Encinitas Ranch. (By the way, the title is a play on words. The ocean vistas in Encinitas Ranch are amazing!)

Encinitas Ranch is an upscale neighborhood composed of approximately 500 homes ranging from 1800 square feet up to nearly 6000 square feet. Some of the homes are situated on large lots up to approximately .5 acre. Homes in Encinitas Ranch (all of whom belong to the same Homeowner's Association-Encinitas Ranch Community Association) were made by various different developers-and all of which were built over an eight year period beginning around 1999.

Here's a quick overview of North San Diego County and Encinitas Ranch home sales:

There were 3873 (active and contingent) single family homes listed for sale in North San Diego County at the end of February 2010.

The number of signle family homes sold in North San Diego County rose 10.55 percent from 493 in January 2010 to 545 in February 2010.

Total sales volume increased 29.37 percent year-over from February 2009.

In Encinitas Ranch, six homes sold between 11/20/2009 and 2/23/10 with the lowest priced home selling for $650,000 (3 bedroom, 2 bath 1625 square feet) and the highest priced home selling for $1,098,000 (4 bedroom, 5 bath 4318 square feet).

There are currently 12 homes offered for sale in Encinitas Ranch, ranging in list price from $890,800 to $2,195,000.

With Easter weekend just a few days away and the weather expected to be phenomenal, there is no better time to stroll the streets of Encinitas Ranch, enjoy the ocean views, and get to know the neighborhood.

And, if that doesn't strike your fancy, the San Diego Botanic Garden (formerly Quail Botanical Gardens) is open all weekend. It has a wonderful new play structure and would be a great family activity.

Melissa - nice overview of the Encinitas Ranch market. It is a great area of Encinitas and there are some terrific views, plus, from what I hear, a great public golf course.

I would love to call Encinitas home and I would call Melissa first if that was possible.  BTW Melissa, my Short Sale Expeditor quit.  You know that that means!

Hi Melissa, The Ocean View in your photo is just beautiful.  I could sit and stare at that view for quite some time, but I can't afford it! :-)

You San Diego people have the best of all worlds. Beautiful weather and a spectacular view of the ocean. As a person who once lived on the oceanfront, let me say there is nothing like it in the world. If I lived near Encinitas, I'd definitely consider buying in Encinitas Ranch. Just the photo of that ocean view makes me homesick for coastal living.
