Thanks Wayne.

Bing is becoming a search Monster!

Original content by Wayne Golliday

It was reported today by Efficient Frontier that the Search  Engine Bing increased it's market share by 45 percent over the last year.  Bing increased both its click and spend categorizes for the first time since Microsoft launched Bing almost two years ago.  The spend category increased to 6.5 percent and their click category increased to 5.5 percent.

Efficient Frontier believes the increase for Bing is a direct result of the deal that Microsoft struck with Yahoo last year.  This deal allowed Bing to supply Yahoo's search results while both companies shared in the revenue that was generated.  Yahoo's market share was close to what Bing saw in their market share increase.

What I found most interesting is that  Google's market share was flat.  I recently blogged about Google and Facebook and predicted that Google's market share would remain flat or show smaller increases in market share .

Do you personally use Bing or Google? I use Bing about about once a week, just to see the different results. Silly, but I like their everchanging, daily pictures. I still prefer Google for results.
